These are a few places that we have visited that really hit the spot.
This was a great stop at Goulburn, on the way to Canberra, and a must for people who love real food or cycling or both. Thanks Sean and Lauren for the tip.
We stopped for lunch at Wynyard in the northwest of Tasmania and couldn't stomach the local "Greasy Joe's". Luckily for us, the local organic food store put us on to this quirky little place with great food. They were very accommodating of us divvying up two meals between three hungry boys, and home-schooling while we waited for the food.
This national park in the north of Tasmania was wonderful. Dubbed the 'Serengeti of Tasmania", we saw loads of wombats, pademelons, and a few wallabies. The density of animals by, or on the road, made for a hair-raising trip back to Devonport.
The waterhole in Douglas-Apsley National Park is an easy 20min walk from the carpark. It's only 15min drive from Bicheno and well worth the trip for a swim,s even if you have to go in your underwear!
YUM fun for all of us. Even my Dad was scoffing half of what he picked before the strawberries made weigh in, they were so delicious. Leaves poor old Ricardos near Port Macquarie for dead.
World heritage listed. We'll be back!
There is a large amount of parkland, a fantastic playground and a free zoo!
This was a great find. Loads of stuff to do for kids as well as the adults. Such a pretty part of the world.
A fantastic place to stay and visit! We stayed in the campsites right on the coast and snorkeled right off the beach. There are also plenty of gorges and interesting things to see and do out of the water.
We loved the fresh food, vibe and ethos of this Mexican franchise joint. We found our first two in Adelaide. They have a great "plate for plate" program, donating a meal to stop hunger now for each meal sold. Check one out near you!
